Sounds good!, me I never really liked planning out my food ahead of time other than planning out what to bring for work. Today I'm protein shake, followed by water, then soup, then protein shake, in-between water & popsicles with yet again protein shakes & more soup, oh yeah did I mention that I'm a pre-op?, surgery on 4/25, so liquid up the yin yang! LOL, kinda bummed it's my bday today so rather than having food to celebrate, shopping instead, not that I needed a reason to shop! LOL Have a gr8t day!

I was also pre-op on my birthday!  But I planned ahead and went out to celebrate the day before my pre-op diet started.  It was glorious.

I didn't really start planning my meals for the day until I hit pureed foods post-op.  Like so many people here, I find that planning everything I'm going to put in my mouth ahead of time helps a) keep me on track with proteins and b) keeps me from wanting to snack.

Good idea, I've started to get in the habit of writing everything down when I eat it to keep track of what I'm eating thru out the day to help keep me on track, although at this stage it keeps track of my protein, figure that'll help post-op too, plus I have a jug of water that I try to finish b4 the end of the day to keep up with the water intake.

It's great that you're already tracking!  I started pre-op too, just to get in the habit, and I think it's a great one.  And if you ever find yourself thinking, "I really don't want to put this in my log," that's a sign that you probably shouldn't put it in your mouth, either ;)

When were you able to start eating raw cucumbers?  Do you need to peel them?  I can't wait to be able to use them as "crackers."

Hey darling...I was cleared for raw veggies I think 3 months MAYBE, but with the limited capacity protein was almost all I had room for.

With the exception of lettuce and tomatoes, I had to wait on all raw veggies until three months post op.  Cucumbers are a great snack, I make a sauce of yogurt, balsamic vinegar, dill weed and artificial sweetener, and its a nice low cal, low carb treat.
