"Get Summer Ready"
Last nite at group our Super-Star RD Gabriella gave us some things to work on based on "Get Summer Ready" !!!
This really made me reflect on the past and a subject I've posted about before.
As time goes on some memories tend to fade.....I do want to forget about some things about being "Super Morbidly Obese", but most of them I want to remember as a reminder that I don't wish to have that life again !!!!
Summer...... hated it, dreaded it..... fat and heat, not a good combination anyway you look at it. Fat sweaty and out of shape is no way to live and I live in what's probably the most climate friendly place on earth for a fat person.
In the past...... a large pizza and a 2 liter Pepsi in air conditioning sounded good.
Today in San Fran it's 90 degrees !!!!!
And I want outside !!!!
I can't wait to get on my bicycle in a couple hours for my 12 mile ride!
I'm meeting "someone" down at the waterfront for dinner, a nice piece of grilled fish over veggies on the deck sounds just right !
The SMO me...... would have phoned in the pizza order.
Get Summer Ready !!!!

Frisco - that is the goal I have for doing WLS.
Changing sweaty summers in AC w/food and beverage for the wonders of nature and a social life.
With your and others log term success I feel more confident in reaching that goal.
we moved to north coast because we were fat and sick of midwest heat and it never gets hot here. hubby wore shorts and went barefoot winter and summer. then we got thin and now he wears a hat all the time and long sleeved shirt and hoodie. today we had record heat - 80 degrees - and he removed hoodie. i was warm too and am wearing a t shirt. but enjoyed the sun and warmth. what a difference ditching 100 plus pounds makes. East coast checkin in & it's been cold & rainy all day, but am looking forward to the warm weather & riding my bike down to Coney Island & riding up & down the boardwalk then watching the ocean view & all the people. I did it b4, definitely will do it again.

I used to carry a "sweat rag". Seriously, it was a wash cloth that I carried with me all the time because even in the winter I sweat so damn much I needed something to constantly mop my brow. I could never get cool enough - ever.
Today it was about 90 degrees here and I ran two laps with my students and didn't even break a sweat!
