Cookies & Carbs - I figured it out-Broke the Code !!!!
I spent yesterday afternoon at a High School swim meet where my niece was competing in diving.
The varsity boys swim team was practicing for a meet today.
I didn't take a picture..... well because... that woulda set off the perv alert for sure and more importantly embarrassed my niece !
And without sounding creepy...... about 50 toned and tanned high school swimmers displayed what "normal" I never had.
So that's the set-up......
I walk past the team room and it has a table set up with pasta, bread, salad and giant gourmet chocolate chip cookies.....
Than it dawned on me...... that's who can eat like that !!!! high school swimmers !!!!!!
If your not a high school swimmer...... sorry, can't eat like that !!!!

I'll add to that...
high school swimmers, lacrosse players, football players, wrestlers, basketball players, and track
know why..
their burning it off...
not so much baseball it's very sporadic energy..
how do I know so much..I have 3 skinny malink sons who do most of these sports..
my oldest started college this year and came home with the -15 that's right NEGATIVE 15.. Lost weight..
doesn't like the campus food..
The baseball game can be very sporadic, but practices are not. And if you are a pitcher or a catcher, you can eat like that too. That is how I became MO. I played softball (as a catcher) for 19 years. I ate approximately 5,000 calories a day, and with 5-hour practices every day, I burned off more than that. I weighed 125 at 5'4", with 17% body fat. When I stopped playing, I continued to eat the same, and ballooned up. Sigh.

Yes it is true..all practices in sports are intense..
I worry about one of my boys after he is done with his sports "career"
the child likes to eat..he'd go out for 3 meals a day w/desert if it was up to him..
as an overweight mom, I have always been very careful as to what I allowed my kids to eat..
fast food was reserved for 1 time a month and even with that, by the age of 2 all my kids could sing
a fast food jingle!! Damn marketing should not be allowed on children's networks!
