I am scheduled to start pureed foods on Wednesday. I am soooo afraid & I don't know why. Was anyone else nervous about this transition?

Hi! Yes, I was. I think its normal having the fears of hurting your new tummy, will you get nauseous, will it hurt, etc? But you will be okay! I was also just as excited to not have to just drink fluids anymore. Just take it real slow and easy. Remember to put the spoon down in between bites. Wait to drink 30 mins after you eat. After a few days, it will be easier and you will have your own groove down.

Thank you, Amber! Did you have a "go-to" food during that phase?

Yes, I loved pureed Campbells Hearty Ham and bean soup, with a dab of FF sour cream. My fave (I still eat this all the time, just not pureed) was refried beans with a little cheese and red sauce. I liked SF Chocolate pudding alot too, for something sweet.

I got cleared to have some things.  The popular ricotta bake on the World According to Eggface site is DELICIOUS and went down easy.

I made an egg for lunch today.  I know that if eggs are too dry, they can be tough on the stomach, and I overcook them in the pan.  I adapted this from Frisco's awesome page. http://www.lapsf.com/cafe-frisco/?p=661

One egg, beaten, 2 TBSP milk, 1 slice American cheese single (I have it for kids and knew it would melt)  I put it in a ramekin and in my microwave, a minute was perfect.  The milk and the cheese left it a little watery, but in this case, it was a good thing.  It was cheesy liquid.  The eggs were nice and soft and went down easy.

Thanks a lot! I have the ricotta bake bookmarked on my laptop. I definitely want to try that. I never would have thought to put eggs in the microwave... I willl check out Frisco's blog..

completely terrified.  Took classes, read tons, had counselling and suddenly I have no idea how to feed my new tummy.  Scared to leave all liquids behind.  I hear ya, sister.  Just started with creamy soups and greek yogurt today.  I do notice my capacity is better, I can drink without pain.  Yay!

Yay for you!!! I haven't tried cream soups or yogurt yet... I'm so afraid. I haven't had any trouble with pain after drinking, I suppose that may be what I'm afraid of.
