Just met with my doctor today for my 6 months physician assisted weight loss program...FINALLY...I am ready to submit my information to my insurance company to be approved for surgery. Just wondering..how long did it take for you all to get approved?? I am so excited to get this journey started! I have BCBS of Alabama...and have done all of my pre approval requirements....I hope it doesn't take too long!!!

Congrats, I have BCBS of MI and it took about 3 weeks.. Then 2 months to be scheduled for surgery.. I had to wait in line :) My surgery is this Friday.. It will come quicker then you think ;)

I have Colorado Medicaid and it took about 2.5 weeks. GOOD LUCK!

My insurance only required three months so I got that starting in October last year, but I delayed the surgery while I dithered. From giving the office the go-ahead to submit to getting the okay was about two weeks. Getting to that point has been a total of four years....

SLEEVED 21 May 14 with Dr. B. Greene. Max weight 470 lifetime; 395 pre-op; goal weight 190. Current weight 217; 178 lost so far, 27 to go and keep off.
