I am pleasantly surprised at the amount of professional support I have received regarding my surgery. From the time i started the physician supervised weight loss, i have had a monthly call from a nurse practitioner who checks on me and answers questions. When I got my surgery date I started having regular calls from a nurse case manager. Today I got a call from my gp to check on me and schedule a post surgery follow up appointment. The next week I will have a check up with my surgeon. I think soon I will start support group meetings. Have others experienced this? It has really been helpful.

Sounds like you found a great center.  I never had anyone call me other than with the surgery date.  I had to contact them and got the list of whom I need to contact. I started the support group meetings as soon as I got the info about them.

You are blessed!  Even with Centers of Excellence you don't typically get all this kind of pre-op support.
