Airline NSV......NOT !!! More like NSF !!!!
None Surgical Fail !!!
First, I love that airline travel is soooo much easier and enjoyable at goal.
I am so down with being able to fit into the seat as they were designed for “normies”
I love:
- No seat belt extender and I have major slack, sometimes almost 2 feet.
- The food tray goes down and I actually have space.
- Major room/space/gap in between the arm rests.
- Can actually see the buttons on the inside of the arm rest. My fat azz before would snap my headphone jack and push on the recliner button.
- I can sit in the seat and reach under the seats for my bag.
- Tie my shoes while sitting in the seat.
- Can curl up and sleep in two seats with the middle armrest up.
- Can sit in a middle seat when/if my aisle seat is not available.
- I only eat 1/3 of an airline meal.
- I don’t see apprehension or disgust on faces as I’m walking down the isle looking for my seat.
- I love that I’m not a hot sweaty mess emanating heat and funk to the person next to me.
Just got back from Barcelona a few hours ago (Tapas research mission) had a very BIG FAIL !!!!
We all know that with all that stomach fat we are/were not that mobile or flexible. Once were wedged into the seat..... were stuck with not much movement and just trying to breath is a chore.
All those good things listed above are all cool and I love them and would not trade for anything...... but here is the downside.
I was woken up by the young pretty Spanish woman sitting next to me....... because my head was on her lap !!!!!!!!
I was in shock, startled and super embarrassed all at the same time !!!
I apologized profusely and she and her husband or BF were very good about it and were just laughing it off and she assured me it was OK....... damn, I just wanted to die and evaporate !!!!
This would NOT or ever happened to the fat me !!!!!
Just thought I’d share an EPIC FAIL !!!!!

What a hoot! Where is our picture Mr. Photographer?
Had an airplane nsv recently. Flying out of BFE on 32 seat plane. In the back there are four seats in one row. i was in a middle one. A very tall woman had the window seat. She was even more jammed in than a usual seat. I offered to trade with her but she said no. A little later I offered again as she was really uncomfortable. I told her I used to be real fat and now I loved being able to fit in small spaces. She accepted the trade, I was fine, and we had a nice conversation about WLS. Flight attendant actually chewed us out for not paying attention to announcements. D
