Family vacation back home means 21 hours in the truck. Once we arrive, we will be camping. Any suggestions or the long hours on the road. I have some light cheese, hard boiled eggs, protein drinks, and such ready, but this has me a little nervous. Not being able to make and pack my daily food like normal. But looking forward to hearing what the family thinks of the slimmer me.

You do have some good choices for the road. If you are packing an ice chest, you can also pack cottage cheese, greek yogurt (sugar free of course), and plenty of water. You might be to early out for jerky. Traveling can be a challenge. I know, DH (also has a VSG) and I just got home from a 16 day road trip. It takes some careful planning, and usually a trip to the store once we arrive to be sure we have what we need. Do the best you can, and remember to have fun.

Lots of water packed. Cooler for truck, lunch bag with my foods... Thanks or the advice, forgot about the yogurt.

You can always stop along the way to get whatever you need or have forgotten. I've discovered that most convenience stores now carry Muscle Milk. Not my usual brand but it will do in a pinch.
