We all face this..... stop and eat, or go home and eat.....

First off..... eating good takes work.... not gonna lie.

Do most who claim they don't cook or don't have the time.... just lazy????? (that comment will wad up some panties)

Eating out is a part of life and has to happen socially, for pleasure, no choice.

Eating clean does take a little planning and a little work.

Here is an example of eating clean and saving time.

Yesterday was busy and on my way back home...... stop at a restaurant for a dinner break or eat at home???

I made this on plan meal in just over 5 minutes...... tasty and spot on !

Ground chicken patty (2.8oz after cooking) with onion flakes, S&P, mesquite seasoning.

Mushroom and zucchini seasoned with bacon salt.....wrapped in a wet paper towel.... 30 seconds

Topped with roasted red bell from a jar and sprinkle of Harissa.

Good tasty food faaaast !

Yummy!! I tend to cook up a bunch of protein then freeze it, that way all I need to do is warm it and add my veggie. My answer would be to go home unless it's going to be to long. My 2nd option would be my backup supply (almonds & protein bar).

I was forced to eat out so much b/c of my job.  I found ways around it -- freezing single portions and bringing them on the plane, but eventually realized that doing this was hurting my job b/c I wasn't doing the networking part.  Eating healthy is harder at restaurants, but not impossible.

Now that I don't have to travel for work, I only eat out to be social.  It is very easy for me to cook for an hour a couple of times a week and have plenty of choices for all my meals.

Bacon salt?  More info please!

I try hard not to judge.  I happen to like cooking and it's hard for me to understand that some people don't, and don't feel like the time or effort involved in meal planning.  But I think it would be very, very, VERY hard to stay on plan and be as successful as I've been so early out if I weren't fixing my own, clean food.

I gotta tell ya, I'm not into cooking., never have been even though I grew up with a mother who did cook. Problem was most food that she cooked had a lot of grease/oil/sugar/butter etc, exactly the kinds of food that I avoid now & I knew back then I didn't want to cook like that. I don't cook much, & I bring my food to work so that I won't have to eat out, & since I buy pre seasoned food,or make it, the most I have to do is heat it up. It gives me greater control over portion sizes., especially while working a rotating 12 hour shift!

I used to eat out all the time because of my job.  That is one part of why I got so heavy.  I don't like eating out anymore.  Too much food and salt.  Oddly enough the best places for me to eat out is the All you Can eat buffet because I can weight it and only pay for what I eat.  Everyone else eats what they want and I don't have to overeat or over pay.  But the best is to do it for myself.  It is not that hard to roast chicken and steam vegetables.
