Long car rides after surgery

Talk to your surgeon's office and see what they say.

I asked mine how soon I could travel, he said as soon as I got out of the hospital.  He said, every hour, get out of the car and stretch for a 30 seconds or so.   I did a 5 hour drive 2 weeks after surgery and had no problems.

Don't risk it with the storm that is coming our way.  That 6hour ride could turn into 12+hours.  Stay home and relax this year.

Thanks, that's exactly what I did. My family left last night to beat the storm. I'm home alone but that's ok. It's easier on my willpower!!

This is a really interesting question as the hospital that will be performing my surgery is a min of 3 1/2 hr drive from my home. Concerns me a bit!  Glad you are doing ok!
