I had the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. and it really worked for me.  I love my sleeve!

Carol, first if all congratulations on reaching your goal! You've done amazingly well!!!! I absolutely loved reading your post. You really inspired me so much. I know there will be rough roads ahead, but you've done it and I feel so can I. I'm having surgery next week, Dec. 4th. This post has given me hope. Thank you and I hope you continue to do awesome on your journey. Christine

Thank you Carol, you have been an inspiration to me, because I was 61 last year when I had my surgery, and your posts always have been realistic and encouraging. 

It is not easy, but living with the sleeve has given me back energy and confidence.  It is great to wear regular clothes and to be active.  I hope that in another year I am as successful as you are.

Hi Dee,

You are doing great with your weight loss.  Its good to hear from others who had the surgery when they were over 60. I had some serious doubts about doing it at that age, but it really worked out well.  I'm glad you were also so successful.
