what about protein from real food???  there's lots of options if you are at the protein bar stage...you should be into the cottage cheese, greek yogurt, pureed egg, pureed tuna stages too.

I can have yogurt and egg. I don't like cottage cheese but I can have soft cheeses. No tuna yet. I can't eat a whole lot at once so I don't think I'm getting that much from real food.

If you can eat a protein bar, try deli meat. Get it sliced super thin, and it chews up very well. It will go down much easier than a protein bar, and is very moist. I had a lot of ham and chicken sliced from the deli as soon as I was allowed. All protein, zero carbs, easy on the stomach.

Ricotta cheese is a great tool to get your protein in.  You can make it sweet or you can make it savory - and it packs in 7g for just a tiny quarter cup.  I mix it with instant pudding mix and a little milk and it's a delicious treat..
