VSG on 12/29/14

Saw my surgeon today, 6 days until surgery. I have lost 32 pounds since my October appointment. This brought a big smile to my doctors face! I am so excited to continue this journey!

I lost 25 lbs before surgery and I credit it with helping me to have a rapid and pain free recovery. It's a great head start. Don't be alarmed if you (like me) gain back 15 lbs for a week or two after surgery. It's just IV fluids loaded with saline. They want to send you home super hydrated and you'll see a nice loss when your body finally releases all tha****er!
