Hi everyone!! I am having my sleeve in March in Mexico and very nervous but excited. I work in healthcare, yet my insurance excludes all bariatric surgery. Go figure. So I am making the trip with my 20 year old daughter in tow. I am looking for some encouragement and support from the OH site and it looks like I came to the right place. I look forward to reading more encouraging posts and gazing at all of the tickers and pics depicting the amazing progress everyone has made!!

Welcome.  I love this site.  We had 3 adult kids with us.  All three in the healthcare field. My wife and I did it the same day.  When I got nervous I went over people's stories and before and after pics.  seemed to calm me down.  Good luck.

welcome to the Journey  you should do a search on here  and go to the Mexican forum and check everything you need to take to Mexico ,passport ect , also the problems having surgery in Mexico can lead to so you can plan for them (doctors in the Usa that will not see you, insurance companies that will not insure you

that way you are prepared a head of time with a pcp that you can see and don't get any surprises

the vsg is a great tool and you will lose weight if you stay on your surgeons plan

there are many great surgeons In Mexico (A few crappy ones also)  so if you do your homework all will go great
