Tylenol

My wife had  sleeve surgery 6/19/2015   My wife has an appointment for a mammogram on Wed June 24th. She would like to drive herself approx. 3 miles. I will be out of town. She still has some soreness.   Instead of tramadol (drowsiness) can she take Tylenol? In what form and how much?   Thank you  

My surgeon recommended Tylenol for me instead of NSAID such as Ibuprofen.  All surgeons have their own protocol.  I suggest you call the surgeon to be sure what he/she would recommend.  

The surgeons super nurse of many years just got back to me. Tylenol is ok. NSAIDs is bad news. She agreed not to drive on Tramadol. She said a short drive on Tylenol in a couple of days ok.

My wife is on 81mg coated aspirin. The neuro wants her on it as she had a stroke years ago and the cardio dr likes the idea also. She is on Protonix also.

she should tell the x ray tech that she just had surgery and had a leak test , it might effect the x rays or it might be to much x ray in a short time frame

She did not have a leak test.

It is so nice of you to show such concern for your wife! Lucky lady! Tell her to take her time and drive safely and if she doesn't feel up to it, to re-schedule her appointment. She shouldn't try to push doing anything so soon if she isn't ready.
