Does anyone ever get tired of going places and everyone has a comment to make about ones weight? It seems to me it always people who have never struggled with the issues we all do on a daily basis. I will be glad when I have my VSG finished. I am just awaiting a surgery date. Its just discouraging when you go to the store and people judge for what you really are.

Yep been dealing with this my whole life. I hate it, and I never want to be the person who makes fun of someone else for any reason. The worst if when you're working in a right to work state getting harassed about your weight by not only the coworkers but all the bosses too but you can't afford to quit and because it's right to work you can be fired for any reason or no reason so you just have to suck it up and deal with it. Thank God I no longer work at Wendy's btw not that most of us eat fast food but don't go to Wendy's their corporate culture supports harassment because they always side with the manager even if you have multiple witnesses (including regular customers) willing to stick up for you.

So sad that we have all experienced this.

Remembering painful comments motivates me to keep the path and stay mindful to help prevent regain.

Glad you are moving forward with the VSG. Awesome in so many ways!

Best wishes for your journey!

Honestly, weight comments don't go away. Sure, being asked about your weight loss all the time is a huge improvement, but it gets annoying too. People just love to comment on other people's weight. You're either too fat or too skinny. I wish people would just keep it to themselves. Don't listen to them, and do what's best for you.

At age 18, I had a job in a small company where I had to go to the shipping dept. every few days.  One time one of the guys there whistled the song "Baby Elephant Walk" as I left.  (You might be too young to remember that song, it was popular in the 60s.) I am now 66, have been thin for nearly 5 years, and that incident still stings.  Yes, we deal with it every day.

This is one of my huge pet peeves.  It is the last form of seemingly acceptable discrimination and ridicule in the world and I don't think it is right.  I also don't think it is right to make fun of someone for any other physical differences they may have.  Perhaps speaking out will help.
