FRUSTRATED ......

I had my surgery 4 weeks yesterday. Since my surgery date I have lost 23 pounds. I haven't lost any weight in the last few days and I'm hardly eating anything! I'm drinking my water and on protein drink a day. This is frustrating because I hardly have any food in my and yet I'm not losing anything. I should be losing everyday something with the amount of food I have or haven't had. I get my excercise in by walking right now everyday. This might be TMI but if I'm having problems with bowel movements could that be the problem? I have an appointment with my Dr on Monday the 29th, so I will be talking to him about this as well.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this same problem.

Thank you!

Put 3 week stall into the search at the top of the page.

Stay off the scale.  You may think you should be losing every day, but you won't.  You may even go up some days.  Fluctuations are caused by ToM, water retention, constipation, and just because.  So stop driving yourself crazy.

I am 4 weeks post op and haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks. It's frustrating but I know it will end. Put the scale away...for 3 weeks at least!

We had surgery on the same day. First of all, congratulations! One thing I started doing is documenting my weight only once a week. Since I've been doing that, I can see things moving right along. I still weigh daily, but I document on the same day, at the same time only once a week. Hope this helps.

I'm a month post-op and I lost almost nothing between week 2 and 4. I would just fluctuate by about 0.5-2 lbs every day, back and forth. I've only lost about 15 since surgery, so you're doing better than I am! Stick with it. It's totally normal to stall at this point in your weight loss.

Oh my go****hink I wrote almost the exact same post a few weeks ago! Right around week 4 I stopped losing and it lasted for about 3 weeks. I am here to tell you that "stall" does end and you will start losing weight again. I am 9 weeks out today and have lost a total of 35 lbs.

Also, try Miralax for the "bathroom" issues. It helped me a lot!

Thank you for your response. It stinks to think this could last a few weeks, but at least I know that it is normal
