OMGoodness I had no idea how hard a couple of glasses of wine would hit me!
Labour day weekend and we have a houseful of guests. Tonight I had a couple of glasses of red wine and my husband said I was behaving like I was drunk! I've never had an issue with alcohol ever before. What is the appropriate amount of alcohol one can consume 5 months after surgery?
This was the exact case in my weight loss as well. Sometimes the further down the scale you go the longer the stalls but overall if you keep focused it will move again.

That is exactly what I have determined from all my research, that's why I posted here. And I too have a binge eating disorder. Thanks for confirming!
"YMMV, but I lost 60lbs last year by doing this and have maintained that loss for over a year." .... HAHA I had to look up YMMV! I love it!
Thanks for the advice. I decided to cut back on my protein drinks and had two yesterday and a nice dish of eggs and veggies with an amazing avocado. Today I was only hungry for one protein drink and I had dinner (I didn't get to it until lunch time). Eggs again for dinner because yesterday was so good :)
I agree with you and your advice was exactly what I needed. I am looking forward to my lifestyle changes. I feel like my tummy is reset and my hunger is curbed from all the nasty carbs.
Onward I go.....
Thanks!
Congrats on the 7 lbs, not quite sure why a 14 day reset. I have done a 5 day to get off the carbs. 3 squares and no snacking can do the same thing, if you decide you cant do anymore liquids then do 3 squares and no snacking using an app to log and keep your calories to 1000-1200. This is just what I do when I start to get at the top of my range. Good luck
I'm sorry you are not happy with the advice here or given to you last year:

I wish you luck with your liquid diet and hope that you'll lose the 40lbs this time.

Thank you! So good to see someone so early on with the amount of common sense you display!
I really hope you are on OH for the long haul because I really think you have a lot to offer here.

I feel like the 'pouch reset" is bullsht. It should be called "liquid fasting"..That's all it is. Which is great when you are about to have part of your stomach removed for WLS..But when you are doing it without being forced too the chances of getting discouraged and cheating and binging are high..I hope you can do it and the quick weight loss motivates you. But for a person with binge eating disorder(like me) This would be a red flag.

My surgery was 12/16/2013. Thanksgiving was my 'last meal' as I started the 2-week liquid diet that weekend... fortunately you really aren't very hungry for a good time afterward so Christmas was fine. I was able to have smale tastes of some things and that was really just fine. You got this!!
