Good vibes sent your way! All will go well!!!!

Topic: Surgery Cancelled

I had a surgery date scheduled in June, and it was cancelled due to me gaining 20 pounds instead of losing 20 pounds. I am so disappointed in myself. After the surgery was cancelled, I managed to lose 14 pounds in a period of 4 weeks, but I seem to have gained it back now too... I'm feeling very bummed. I started again yesterday with replacing meals with protein shakes and soup as well as implementing a 30 minute dance party. Please send positive vibes my way; I need them. If anyone can be my support system or guide please reach out! I would like to lose 30 pounds in a 6 weeks. Fingers crossed.

Sorry but the last thing I would advise you to do for a regain is to use protein powder.

It is fine to use protein powder after surgery when you cannot eat real food, but using it when you can eat real food is just making it easy for the body to take in more calories than you need.

The way to treat a regain is by reducing calories. Stick to dense protein that will keep you full.

Topic: Food Tracker

Is anyone else out there having problems with their Food Tracker? I have created My foods and favorites and it won't show me anything past the 1st page. It's a bear to find my foods either by search or going through each catagory to find my foods....

Suggestions?

Topic: RE: Lab band to sleeve revision

You have a responsible surgeon who is giving you good advice. After they remove the lapband they often give your body time to heal from the damage the lapband causes. The sleeve has a tendency to cause GERD in people who never had it and to make it worse in those who already have it. The GERD might go away once the band is gone.

You do not have to gain weight when the band is removed. Weight gain is because of eating more food. You can make up your mind to follow a diet that keeps the weight off while you wait for the RNY.

Weigh****chers might be the right place to go.

You're probably retaining water and dealing with swelling right now, I would guess.

I had all kinds of anxiety that "this isn't working" or "well, I'm done losing" throughout this process. No matter how many times I prove myself wrong, I still get that anxiety. It just shows how much we invest in this, in our new selves and our new lives. You're going to be fine, don't worry even if you go 10+ days without losing. We all have stalls, we all lose it differently, but it's simply calories in vs. calories out at this point. And it's impossible to eat more than you're burning right now. Just stick with the plan, don't drink calories (unless it has protein in it) and try not to step on the scale multiple times a day (I was bad at that myself). You've got this
