my guy saga
You all know my saga with the guy I have liked forever... well I got some closure today although it isnt what i wanted I will get over it... tho right now I'd like to cry. 
Ahhh I need a hug.
Here is the email i got from him with the one i sent below it...

Our friendship means a lot to me too, and I feel like we have a great friendship. I would like to keep it as just friends. You are a great person, and I truly do appreciate your friendship because you are someone I know I can always go to, and you know that works the other way too. I guess we have been friends for so long that I can't see us as anything more than that. I know this is probably hard to hear, but I feel what we have is really good, and I don't think it should change. I don't want to create any awkwardness either.

aww...I'm sorry hon. he sounds like he's a great friend though...if you can keep the friendship I would. totally understandable though if you need some space from the friendship. just do what you can without hurting your heart and trust me...I have experience here. if the friendship really truly is strong when one of you have feelings for the other time apart to get on the same page won't hurt it. it's better to take time apart rather than to keep up with the friendship and possibly have the romantic feelings get stronger, get depressed because the romantic relationship can't happen, or have it ruined by severe awkwardness. only you know what you can handle though. *hugs*
Aw girl....I am so sorry. I give you credit for asking!! At least you know where you stand now and can move on. Sometimes we need to hear the truth in order to go forward. Boy do I know how you feel!! Its the WORST feeling ever, but as soon as you find someone new to crush on, it gets so much easier!!

Amber, that totally bites. I know, i've been there.
There was this guy I liked, and we were great friends, and there was a vibe, you know? So I waited and waited and waited, and then finally worked up the nerve to ask him... and got the "uhm, no, just friends" response. I was so upset!
But what everyonne is saying is right. Take some time if you need it, don't if don't. Just don't lose a great friendship...
FYI, and i don't want to give you false hope here, that same guy and I started dating a year or so after that, and have know been together almost ten years. But I had totally moved on by the time he got around to being interested!
Life takes you wierd places. Keep your head up high so you can see it all, and remember that you may not always get what you want, but in the end it is all the experiences that make you who you are.
