x post. long haul flights and pouch, gas issues? Some TMI
I'm 8.5 mo. out. OMG - So I just got finished traveling half way around the world for leave. (Romania to the States) well starting with the first accent then the decent my pouchy started to feel pretty weird - cramping and such, swelling up so eatting wasn't comfy at ALL. Well, not too bad. Then I got my connecting flight which was my transatlantic flight, before we even got out of Europe, here goes my pouch again, grumbling and this time building up MEGA gas - ANY carbs (wasn't eatting hardly any because of my pouch being grumbly anyhow) turned into INSTANT gas/loose BM. I think I had to go to the bathroom at least every 30 minutes to an hour on that flight - not kewl. Can we say LOOSE STOOLS? geez. I drank about 2.5 liters of water - at least and a little juice (4 oz or so) (since I could not eat - but I tolerate juice, it's not a prob).
I've landed last night but I still have very loose stools and mega gas. I've nearly completely cut out carbs (except for ones in some light dairy foods, but those more mostly protein) and have resolved to up my diet to nearly all protein again like I did at the beginning to try to get this back under control.
Any similar experiances with flying on long haul flights?

I can get that way pre-op and post when I travel
It just happens sometimes. Sounds like you're doing the right things to counter attack though. Are you on probiotics too?
