xpost: What I'm learning about my body
This is all a pretty interesting read for me. Seriously, if I had to stick to 600 - 800 calories a day I would go nuts. I think I understand my body pretty well and it works pretty much the way I think it should.
1. I eat around 1000 - 1500 calories per day depending on the day.
2. I exercise 4 - 5 days per week (burning at least 300 - 500 calories each time on average)
3. I drink around 64 oz of water each day.
4. I get in between 80 - 100 g of protein a day.
5. Carbs are between 25 - 60 a day on average.
6. I have lost consistently over the past year and am 2 pounds from goal.
I think I'm pretty textbook. I'm feeling pretty lucky about that.

Carlea, I think your body works perfectly!! Luck? hmmm, I'd say careful planning on your part.
Now that I'm able to exercise more intensely, I'm hoping to see a big difference in my metabolism. I have definitely not lost hope that my body is going to decide to respond well to all of this. :)

I am pretty much in a rut. I have tracked my weight daily since the first month when I bought a new scale. For the most part I eat the same thing every day except once a week I go out to eat and that usually winds up being 2 or 3 meals, other then that it's the same. I get in almost exactly 1000 calories a day. I get in about 50 grams of carbs and 33 grams of fat and 125 grams of protein. I drink at least a gallon of fluid a day. I exercise moderately, about 30 minutes every other day or so. And I have absulutely no pattern. The only thing that is pretty certain is that if I lose weight one day my weight will stay exactly the same for the next several days. Doesn't vary by even an ounce. I think maybe once I have lost 2 days in a row. About once a month or so I may gain 1/2 a pound to a pound. I can go 2 weeks without a lose or I can lose weight every 3 or 4 days. Nothing predictable except that I won't lose 2 days in a row.
I know the weight loss slows when you weigh less. According to myfitnesspal.com it says I am eating too little and if I continue to eat the way I am eating I should lose about 4 or 5 lbs in 5 weeks but I rarely do. I know I am losing weight faster then I did 8 years ago after my first weight loss which surprises me because I am obviously older.
I am technically at goal, or below, but I would like to lose another 5 or 10 lbs to have a bounceback cushion, and because I am greedy that way. Like others I get a kick out of seeing a loss on the scale. I know there will come a time that I won't see any more loss but for now it is fun and exciting to see the numbers go down.
