Stupid week 3ish stall!!!!

I am SOOOOO frustrated! I know this is normal but I wish there was something I could do to get the damned scale to move again! I've tried increasing calories, excercising, not excercising, not bothering with calories....it's difficult to get above 400 cals right now but this THursday I'll be advanced to soft from pureed and will have more options.
My question is....is there anything to do about this early stall or do I just keep doing what I'm doing and trust that it will move again soon?!
Sorry to whine but this is to annoying!!

Just keep on keeping on.  It will work.  You just have to give your body time to catch up.  Breathe and go take a walk.

Tiffany,

I've had a few stalls too and it can be very frustrating.  This week is my three month....time has gone by quickly.  But look at yourself...you have lost 28 pounds already!  HELLO! That is A LOT of weight!  We get impatient, but it does take you body some time to adjust.  Take it slow and put the scale away for a few days and let the tool work.

Hang in there!

Tiffany, your body has just gone thru major surgery and it finally said "WHOA, what in the hell have you done to me" and stopped til it is figured out.

In the meantime, just do what you are suppose to getting in fluids, protein, and vitamins.

And PUT AWAY THE SCALE!!!! Hide it in the closet and don't weigh for the next week or two. If you can't resist getting on it, get someone to take it out of the house who will not bring it back except for once a week.

Take your measurements instead on a monthly basis.

And think about this, when in any other diet did you lose 28 lbs in ONE month?

I would SO not be upset if I were you! Tomorrow is week 2 for me and I've lost 16lbs which I'm stoked about. Now seeing you... holy crap! You've done fantastic!!

I agree with the other gals. Your body is probably taking a step back and trying to figure out if this is really happening. This is still so new, our bodies will still be adjusting for a while.

Enjoy your loss!

(I have no scale comments as I can't go a day without steppin on the darn thing. But it keeps me motivated.)

Thank you all for your encouraging words. Like so many of us, I've been up and down the scale so many times I'm just anxious for this go-round to go already! My 28 lbs is something I'm proud of but that includes the 2 week preop liquids.
But you are all right-on about putting away the scale and just keeping on doing what I'm doing. The scale always screws with my head...and I knew this going in. I even told my friend who was sleeved 2 weeks before me not to weigh every day....easier said than done!

Anyhoo....thank you for listening and for reminding me that I'm not alone on this journey.

Yeah, I remember the same whine at the same time.
This too shall pass.  Walk, sip, take your vitamins, get excited about pureed foods....
You'll be a smaller butt on the loser's bench in a few weeks, not to worry.

But go ahead and whine, it burns calories, and we'll listen.

Just keep with it. I had a stall at 3 weeks and then a longer stall that lasted 3 weeks. patience, persistence, and a lot of whining . . .and it broke. Trust the tool.

Oh Tiffany, don't be too hard on yourself honey, just look at all those pounds lost.I'm only week 2 and only lost 4lbs (albeit I'm a low weight revision & probably won't lose any weight) so your huge loss is a brillliant start to your new future and the new you. Congratulations.

Cheers from Karin (in Oz)
