Good Morning. Orange glow...

lol  Someone at work told me I eat so many carrots, I was going to have healthy orange glowing skin. Umm...ok. I said, "ah, like a Oompa Loompa"?  She just laughed at her own silliness. Anyway, I think they're good for me and they add fiber and the beta carotene my dos want me to have. I can't convert the beta carotene to vitamin A but he wants to see the beta carotene just the same. So, I'm eating carrots until I poop Orange Glow or turn into a Oompa Loompa. lol

I hope you all will continue to swing lizards for Vitalady and Vitaguy. Liz and Charles are looking out for them in Knoxville and Liz posted an update this morning. Link: www.obesityhelp.com/forums/wls_lightweights/4393965/Good-Mor ning-Swinging-Lizards-Needed-for-Vitalady-and/  I'm so thankful they landed in a place where good folks like Liz and Charles are there to help.

Carrots have never been my thing, but these days, between the spinach and sugar snap peas in the garden, I may turn green.

No meetings today so I will drive the ponies early while it is cooler then get paperwork done in the heat.  Had to buy a new printer/fax/copier yesterday because the old one (maybe 3 yrs old) died.  I hate this planned obsolesence.  At least this time there is a $50 trade in discount so I can get rid of it easily.

I'll keep swinging for the Vitafolks.  I think they have had their share of bad health stuff and hopefully can move on to better.  I know the folks on their tour will hang on to see them.

Good morning!  I love carrots especially with Greek yogurt spinach dip!  It has become my go to evening snack when a  shake is just not enough.  An orange type glow might not bee too bad this time of year!  Better then pale and yucky which is how I look during the winter months!

I am working form home today, having mulch delivered now that the rain has stopped.  Also have my 15 mo check-up today so we will see how that goes.  usually a waste of time, I like my Nut she is a nice person but not very good or helpful with advice on nutrition.

Have a good day y'all.

My dietitian would love you. She was sharing some recipes for Greek yogurt dips and edamame guacamole last night.

I've never cared for cooked carrots, but raw ones I can eat just fine. Perhaps I should trade up and eat them instead of the Wheat Thins I've found I tolerate well...

Swinging for the vitacouple.  I hope they can move on through their tour soon.  They've had too many problems lately and deserve a break.

I eat carrots, raw. Don't even peel them these days. But my preferred food for that type snacking are celery sticks with peanut butter.

Dh and I went to the Knoxville airport this morning to pick up Michelle's son who flew in from Washington state overnight. We took him over to the camper (waking up Michelle, LOL) and stayed there for about an hour. I talked to Don for a few mins this morning as well.

I feel better about leaving them all day now that her son is in to watch over them. Still plan on seeing her tomorrow cause that is the earliest they can leave is tomorrow now.

I LOVE carrots - and so do the pups. We say "carrot" and all heads turn to the fridge. My Vizsla taught my sister's german shorthair to love them this past week when they visited. Got a new roof put on the house! Will post pics when my sis sends them to me. Got her dog started pointing quail and pigeons (use pigeons for training) and introduced him to the water. Big mistake - we couldn't keep him out of the pool! He's a big water monster now. Just jumps right in over the side and then looks back for you to throw his toy. I think he could be a Dock Dog candidate.

Anywho - struggling with carbs but still lost a bit last week. Back to work since I took off a day or two while sis and family were here.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

our last two dogs, shepard/lab mixes, would go through 10 lbs of carrots A WEEK!
Same as your dogs, ours would run to the fridge if we said "CARROTS!" In fact, if they didn't get their evening carrots, they would start prancing and dancing around with the "carrot whine" until we gave them either carrots or homemade doggie ice cream in individual servings.

Spoiled.  Yup. UHUH. Spoiled.
