Good Morning. I don't feel a sermon coming on
Price - I had a Ford truck once with the adjustable pedals and loved it - but that was before the days of programmable seats too. I love that in my Trailblazer, which IS for sale
. Of course its 4WD, etc and gets 20mpg...
Gina - missed your posting yesterday, but think I made up for it - LOL
Getting together with a girlfriend today for a "girls day". Waiting for Tom's daughter to get finished in the bathroom, then my turn. I was thinking the other day that I NEVER shared a bathroom with my kids - I've ALWAYS had my own the entire time they were growing up (yes, shared with the various DH's, but that doesn't count - they don't lock the door on you).
Went yesterday and picked up a bunch of stuff from the EX's place. Took directly to the storage unit except for the pictures. That's my project next week - go through ALL the kids' pictures and put in albums, etc. I've been putting this off for years. A good retirement project.
Oh - and BTW - I have a job prospect. Guess what? I may be a Government Contractor - LOL. Yea, its a "work from home" job doing software requirements on a program for the Navy along with some other Program Management work.... I may be having to take some business trips to the DC area.....

My niece worked for the Navy and she loved it! Now she is with the Dept. of Defense and just had a term in Hawaii...it's killing her to move back to PA. You like to travel and they pay for everything so once you get your foot in the door maybe you can move into something really interesting.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

Well, I am back from California. I got back Wednesday and I have been laying low. You know how they say that when you die your life flashes before your eyes? I am found that when your mother dies your life flashes before your eyes. I keep thinking about all my stages of my life with my mother. I can't believe she is gone but the truth is she has been gone for me for a while, ever since the dementia took away her mind and personality. I have missed her for a long time.
One good thing that she has done for me and my brother and sister is leave us some money. Not a lot but enough to pay off all my bills and be debt free if I choose. That will take a lot of pressure off of me financially.
I also bought my daughter a car yesterday. Since my car broke down I have been using hers and I promised her a car of her own. We found a 2004 Chevy Malibu for sale. It has a little body damage, not much. It blue books at about $4500 to $5400 depending on the condition and we got it for $1800. I don't know why it was so cheap. It drives perfectly. I can't find a thing wrong with it and I have looked. I brought my boyfriend with us and he couldn't find anything wrong, either. I figured for that price even if there were problems it would be worth it to have it fixed.
So my daughter is happy that she has a car she can drive. The other car is a stick shift and she never learned how to drive it.
When I was in California I did pretty good with my eating. I brought a lot of protein powder samples with me and kept up with my protein and made good choices when we went out to eat. I came home and weighed myself and I weigh 119lbs. I got down to about 117-118 with my last WLS and the immediately regained to 120lbs after that so I will see if that happens this time, too.
