La, la, la.....Oh! There you all are!
Pepper is a very good dog but very active. He acts like a puppy and he is always getting into things. He is my only dog that has figured out how t get into the cupboards and get into the garbage. Very exhausting dog. I guess I am not giving him a god reference but he is a lover if you want a dog that will be by your side all the time.

I'll have to ask her again if she is giving him away for sure. She was the last I heard. They paid a mint for him.

Our DD who lives with us has a Yorkie Terrier. He is the sweetest thing and very smart. He does get car sick so you might want to watch out for that when looking for one since you are planning on traveling with him.

I too was awakened at 4:30 by Jake and Juno, who wanted out. I was thirsty, so I ate a popsicle while they did their thing. Then I promptly returned to BED for my beauty rest. I slept 12 hours today, probably because I worked outside in the heat all day yesterday-- or it may have been from eating a large dinner and doing the bar party thing with DH's family last night for a S-I-L's 50th birthday.
Today DH and I are supposed to spend the day together, hopefully a movie and just lazing around. In the morning I leave on travel, will return Friday afternoon. So I also have to pack-- this time the laptop is coming along so I can study, but that also means I get online in the evenings for awhile.
We got a whopppppper of a rain storm last night. It helped, but oh I've been doin the rain dance for a whole week of gentle rain. The grass is crunchy and I have to water my potted plants and garden twice a day.
Jody, I vote for a small labradoodle or a golden doodle. I saw a couple online in Michigan, but I don't know where you live and one of them was HUGE! Ours are 50 lbs, but they don't seem big to us, because our last dogs, litter mates and my sixth rescues, were 120 and 90 lbs each!

Given the fact that you wanted something small, I looked up the 10 best small dogs, Of those, the best of the bunch looked like a Yorkshire Terrier or a Dachshund. (my best friend has two dachshunds and they are great)
Anyway, also knowing about where you are, found quite a few of both breeds near you: www.petfinder.com/index.html
Good luck on your quest.
