2,4,6,8 who do you appreciate???
Not sure if this will work or not I am so not good with this picture thing but feel the need to give a shout out to those men that have stood by us through thick and thin. This is a picture of my hubby and I at Easter. He has been incredible through this entire process. He was my voice when I didn't have one. He literally saved my life. When everyone else said she has had surgery she is going to be in pain...He said you don't understand this is not how she responds to pain. Turns out I had a bowel obstruction that nearly took my life. Today we celebrate my progress with smiles, passion, and joy.. We enjoy riding bikes together, long walks, and snuggling in the recliner. He is one the greatest Dads I have ever seen. I was watching Dr. Phil yesterday on the OWN network. He described marriage as getting up every morning and deciding how you can make the other person's life better. What can you do today to make the other person smile and bring joy to their life? I immediately thought of Brian and how he seems to do this daily. Don't get me wrong he is a man and he isn't perfect but he is perfect for me. Thanks to all those men that bring joy to our lives that handle our hormonal waves, our shopping and our cranky pants. Who would you like to shout out to today? We didn't get her by ourselves all of us had to have some kind of support system for this to be a successful journey. Lets appreciate them today. images.obesityhelp.com/uploads/profile/881318/albums/99346/U s%20on%20the%20steps.JPG

This pic of my hubby is a little out of date, but you get the idea.

There are two special men in my life...my sweet dh who has also been on the journey with me...actually went ahead so he knew what was going on with me.

The other man in my life that has been a big supporter and help has been my daddy. He's 84 years old and while he doesn't understand my surgery, he has been all for my doing something to be healthy. He commented after I had the surgery and was home that all he wanted was for me to outlive him in number of years and since he is aiming for 100, I had a ways to go.
Here he is just this past Dec coming back to the house from gathering eggs:

Happy Father's Day to both the special men in my life.
