Hi everyone! It has been a long time since I posted, but I wanted to let you guys know what an inspiration you all are to me. I can't help it, I am more of a reader/listener than a talker/poster. Reguardless, I come here everyday, just to get my cheer talks. So thanks so much for everything you do. Now to the good stuff.... I am 6 months out and have lost 77 lbs! I haven't had any major problems to deal with other than my iron and Vit. D levels. I have gone from a very tight size 20 to a nice size 10! I ventured out 2 weeks ago in a tankini....and laid out on the beach for the first time in my life. I walked all day long and didn't complain, but my kids sure did! I did have to stop exercising for awhile, I just was so exhaused. But am getting on the course tommorrow. I wish my hair would stop falling out, but it is a small price to pay for something so wonderful. I wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day!  Sherry

Sherry, I'm glad to see you're doing well.  You and I seem to have similar statistics.  I can totally relate to you and feel similarly.  Someone asked me yesterday if I would do it over again, and I can honestly say I have no regrets, and it sounds like you are just as happy.
My hair continues to keep falling out too, and I'm not sure when it stops.  I agree that it's a small price to pay.

Congratulations on your weight loss. I have similar stats. I am only 4'11" and this AM, weighed in at 108.7 lbs. For the past 2 months, I have been stabilizing between 108-110.5 lbs.

You are braver than I am. My skin issues on my legs and arms are so bad, that I couldn't think about wearing a tankini. Good for you!!! Doesn't it feel wonderful to be active and to walk all day and not even feel tired. WLS has truly been a gift and I am grateful for everyday for my new body and good health.

When the rapid weight loss is over, the hair loss will slow down, and you see new hair coming in. It will come back and the speed may also depend upon how fast your hair grows.

Sherry, you are doing fabulously well! Congratulations. Those pounds are rolling off. Your posts are always welcome. You must look great in a tankini. Glad you can outwalk your kids.

77 pounds in 6 months....that's Awesome!!!   I

It depends on when your hair started thinning but it's usually around a 3 month process.  When it starts growing back in start taking biotin and using a shampoo/conditioner like Nioxin.   Increasing your Protein and increasing your water will also help.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

congratulations on your weight loss!! My hair stopped falling out about the 6 month mark..of course if I don't take biotin and keep my protein up it starts falling out again...

My hair is still falling out, even with protein and bioten since before surgery.  It is also growing back in so at least that is something.  I'm not afraid of going bald anymore.

Congrats on your success.  You have done great and I know you will continue to.
