Wow, you are getting off to a good start.  You do need to concentrate on more protein though and eating more and you will lose faster.  There is no way you can get enough protein only eating 2 ounces of protein at a time, 3 times per day.  Granted, you only 1 month out, so you can't increase the portions, so you need to eat more frequently which is better for you anyway.  Eating 6 or so small meals per day, every 2-3 hours, increases the metabolism, decreases hunger and maintains a constant blood sugar - with no drastic increases or dips.  On my programs, at the beginning we were to eat 2 ounces of protein 6- 8 times per day in order to get enough protein in.  We were also required to drink 1 protein drink with atleast 20-25 grams of protein in it.  I drank Slim Fast Low Carb Chocolate which wasn't bad but I wish I knew about homemade shakes then.  Now I make 2 different ones which eat have 35-40 grams each and are delicious.

Chocolate Monkey

8 ounces of milk - I use skim lactaid
2 tablespoons of sugar free chocolate syrup - I use Torani or DaVinci;s -you can get in most TJ Maxx, Marshall's or Walmarts.  Otherwise you can get them online.  Other chocolate syrups are fine too as long as they are sugar free.
5 - 6 ice cubes
1 1/2 scoops of chocolate whey protein - I use GNC Pro Performance 100% Whey Protein - many use Whey Isolate for higher protein count but is also more expensive.
2 tablespoons of sugar free chocolate pudding powder
1 sliced banana

Put the chocolate syrup in the milk (in blender) and mix.  Add the ice cubes and other ingredients.  Turn on blender for approx. 45 seconds or until the ice cubes are crushed and smooth.  Open top of blender and scrape sides for any powder residue and continue blending for a few more seconds.  Approx. 45 grams of protein.

Protein Hot Chocolate

Make hot chocolate as usual - (I use Swiss Miss Sensibly Sweet 60 calorie packs)  In a separate small bowl, take 1 1/2 scoops of chocolate protein powder (same as listed above).  Add 1/3 of a cup of cool water and mix until smooth.  Add the protein mixture to the hot chocolate.  (Never add protein powder to ho****er or you will get a clumpy mess)  Add milk to taste.  This gives you a delicious mug of hot chocolate with approx. 35 grams of protein.

Give these a try.  You might be surprised.  If you go to GNC and buy the chocolate protein powder - Pro Performance 100% whey protein (1 pound red bag) - if you don't like it, save the receipt, you can return it within either 30 or 60 days, not sure which.  It is a great way to taste different protein powders. They have lots of flavors.  I love the chocolate, the cookies and cream is okay = never tried the others.

Thank you for those recipes. They are at least worth a try.
