the good, bad and ugly
Congrats for doing your best in a difficult situation. As far as the children's pants, way to go!!! I bet, you never dreamed that you would fit into children's sizes. Try size 14 in Girl's jeans at Target. You might be surprised.
I wonder, if you could have brought a cooler, if that would have helped anything? Either using ice or cold packs? That hot weather sounds pretty miserable.
Take Care,
Gail

I'll have to see about those jeans. I was certainly surprised but I have also been angry when I get 6P and they have to be hemed. Maybe the kids won't need hemming.
I actually did have a little cooler. I just ran out of water in it both days and there wasn't anywhere on the grounds to buy water or fill up used bottles. Next time I will bring gallons to refill the bottles. I bought ice for the trip home just didn't have any the middle day. That was when I ran out of water and the protein bars melted. Yuck.

I'm glad everything worked out in the end, and you can get back to your schedule. I must admit the children's pants are pretty impressive (I'll never get there!)
I also appreciate your post on planning for trips. I've taken a few trips during my pre-op diet, and none have gone according to my plan. I'm still working on it - as preparation for travel post surgery.
Enjoy your peace and quiet again!

Never say never. I certainly never thought I would be this small. At 5'7", you may have high water pants but you will probably be this small.
