If you like the Special K protien waters, you should probably get some samples of Syntrax Nectar protien powders. They are a thinner consistency than most protien powders and mix very easily. I love them, but I don't like any protien powder in only water. I only like it in milk/mootopia, unsweetened soy or almond milk, or decaf coffee. So I also don't like the Special K waters. But Syntrax Nectar is a whey isolate which is very good, and it is the only brand I like. It is true. After surgery our tastes change. And as time goes on, they can change again. I don't know why either, but it is one of the benifits of wls.  I never understood how someone can just have a bite of what they are craving and be ok. But now, I will take a bite and think that it really wasn't as wonderful as I thought it would be, and stop. Or I have taken a bite and thought yum, that was good and move on.  Everything does taste more salty or sweet to me now. I don't like hot dogs or processed cheese slices or chips any more, and I do like subtle flavors instead of overwhelmingly strong flavors now. It is very nice, but something to get used to.
