Gail, even normal weight people have minor fluctuations...a lb or two one way or the other.
Good going.

Last week 150
this week 151
Gain of 1 #
Don't know what else to do. Bouncing between 152 and 150 for about 2 weeks. I know about stalls but have nevr had one,I don't think.
Carbs are nearly non existent around 12 most days. very limited SA, protein drinks twice a day, over 100 oz sf fluid a day. no real exercise but I have lost 98# wwwithout exercise so don't see how that could be it.
I am beginning to think I need a revision to something but Gosh I HATE those posts who want to blame no loss on their surgery when they are clearly being non compliant. i am being compliant ,so there you have it. I can't get a revision as I was self pay for this one and I know it works,so I will just keep tweeking till I get it right, again.

I was once told by a nutritionist (not a bariatric nut) that if we go too low carb, our bodies stop losing...it hangs on to every one we eat.
Even Atkins allows 25 and many of us stay around 50. But stalls can happen...I was in one for most of the last two months. Tiring as could be going up and down the same 4 lbs (138-142).
Hang in there, maybe up the carbs by adding milk to one of your protein drinks. Include veggie carbs, they are good for you.

No one likes to hear this, but I would recommend exercise. You have lost 98 lbs, along with a lot of muscle mass, despite the protein drinks. Exercise, along with strength training, will help to mix things up and assist your body in letting go of more fat. Muscle burns more calories at rest, and at this point, your muscle mass is probably lower than it was in the beginning. Also, the less we weigh, the less calories we burn.
Also, I don't really think eliminating all carbs for any length of time is the thing to do, either. Your body is probably used it, by now. Things have to be mixed up and changed, for continual weight loss to occur. This is even more crucial during maintenance.
