9 months ago.....

Hello Friends...

                 9 months ago today I joined the bench on my weight loss journey...and what a journey it has been....Some ups and downs but I would do it again in a heartbeat!! I started this weight loss mission at 250 lbs and currently weigh 152lbs... At 9 months I am 2lbs away from a 100 lbs loss...I can't wait to join the century club!!!  I no longer have hypertension or cholesterol issues...All meds have been stopped and Im doing well...It is  amazing  just to see the changes I have gone thru both mentally and physically...I have gone from a size 22/24 to a size 10 and even my feet have lost a size!!  I have dropped two ring sizes so far and havent had the heart to size my wedding rings as of yet!! My labs have been right on target...I get about 120 grams of protein daily, and my 64ozs. of water too.. I feel excited and happy to great each new day!! My DH and other family members have been a wonderful source of support to me...My DH has embraced the new me proudly and re-inforces why I did this surgery for myself...Aside from knee surgery three weeks ago which put me on the sidelines for a bit I came back fighting and lost the few pounds I gained while recovering!! It has been a wild ride but I have moved forward and havent looked back since my journey began 9 months ago!!  Thanks to the wonderful people on this site who have helped and encouraged me along the way!!

Congratulations on your success. I know it hasn't been easy but I'm sure you learned some things about yourself. I know I have. Good luck with your last 12 lbs!

I just love reading these stories.  Hurray for you.  You have done so well, faced the challenges and kept on fighting.

At my 6 month Nut visit she said, now just start living like a skinny person.  Oh my gosh was that a scarey thought.  I couldn't embrace it then but am learning to live with it.  Those last pounds will and do come off.  I can't say " I can't eat that " anymore.  I CAN eat anything but I choose not to eat a lot of stuff.  I think that is what maintainance is about.  We have learned to make different choices.
