Sever Pain

Hi everyone,

I have a question my upper abdominal hurt really bad the pain is going to my mid back then my right shoulder. It was hurting last night but is has gotten allot worse. I can eat I really can move. I took gas x but that did not help. Every time I breath it hurts. plz help

Call your doctor or better yet go to the ER. Pain is not normal and should be looked at. I am not going to hazard a guess as to what it could be since I don't have a MD after my name but you should see someone who does.

What Tazz said. Off to the ER with you and call your surgeon if he's local to let him know you're headed there. Keep us posted as you can.

Hi Everyone,

I am home now, they are not sure why I had the pain. I was not able to my see my surgeon who did my RNY. But my liver enzymes where way to high. the range is 15-46 but my level is 700 they are not sure why they are so high either. I am not sure what is going on. They gave me fluids and pain meds but that was it. So now I am nervous

Check in with your surgeon as soon as you can. That trip to the ER was a band aid fix. He may tell you to see a specialist for the liver issues. I'm not medical so I can't begin to guess what's going on and I've only seen one other have their liver enzymes push through the roof like that post-op. His seems to be a reaction to a new vitamin formulation. You might want to stop your vitamins until you can see a specialist just in case.

How are you feeling today?? Do you still have your gall bladder? Is sounds like you have stones. They can be difficult to diagnose. You should call your surgeon if you are still experiencing pain.

You def dont want your liver enzymes to be that high and not taken care of. Talk to someone in that office even if they are still colosed for the holiday. There is a dr on call!!!!
