Food poisoning
I have a question to pose:
Have any of you had the awful experience of food poisoning after your surgeries?
I'm asking due to the fact that I believe I went through it last night, however it was slightly different than what I have gone through in the past. I'm wondering if it is due to the fact that I didn't eat as much due to the fact that I only eat 4-5 oz at a time now?! It was chicken (due to the timeline of when I got horribly nauseous/torso felt like it was a rock). However never got "rid of it" and I'm wondering if it was due to my not having that much of it.
Again, just wondering if any of you have experienced this.
Today my abdomen is still tight and crampy.
Thanks,
Mary Lou

Haven't had food poisoning since forever. I sure hope you'll feel better soon. :(

I haven't had food poisoning since my WLS... but I have never thrown up and WISHED I could. I know there are some that do throw up after.
So - its hard to tell. Maybe you did but you're like me and can't get rid of it... hard to say.
Hope you're feeling better. Sounds like a "grouchy pouch" day.. take it easy, soft foods and protein drinks.

Oh my yes and if you have I feel for ya! About two years ago we went to stay at a cabin a 5 hour drive from home. Stopped on the way and I got a salad with ranch dressing. Felt good the next day by that night I thought it was my period because I started cramping by early the next day I could not even swallow my own spit. We loaded up fast and made the long drive home. I thought I was going to DIE. Anyway home took a shower and off to the ER. I was given 6 bags of fluid over 18 hours. Because of my band being so tight from vomiting and I was still feeling really bad they kept me for three days.
Hope you feel better
