I really need to get to counting protein! The last year I haven't had to count anything because I judge eyeballed it all and was doing great at maintaining. I need a swift kick to get me back in the habit :)
okay just have to gripe just a tad! I was told about a board for failed lap bands on face book, I went joined just to read because ya never know there is that what if the doc has to take out my band while on the table. That is a worry that I have! anyway I posted with my story that I love my band and what is has done for me and why I was there. Well this one lady was nasty. telling i should not be there because it is people with failed bands not for those that love it. gezz get a life lady and stop judging!

When I think of the North Pole I don't think of summer, flowers and gardening....all I think of is freezing weather, ice, polar bears, and penquins....AND YOU!!
I hate counting! It reminds me of all of those years that I was on WW's. That's why I drink the Protein drinks. If I drink 4 of them a day I have met my Protein limits and then all I have to do is make good food choices.
Did you drink Protein Coffee before?

Roz, Summers here are BEAUTIFUL even thought they are short. In the 9 years we have lived here we have had a few summers of 80 + weather. but mostly it is in the 60 to 70 range. With 24/7 sun in the summer is does get warm. I can garden from about the last week of may to maybe end of august first part of September.
the first two years I was so strict with myself on counting it all daily fat, calories, carbs, protein, and portion size. I dont want to get that extreme again but I need to get into a little again. I am trying to prepare for the worst that if my band is so mangled he takes it out and doesnt replace it. The UGI doesnt show that but he said he can not really know until in there.
I have several tried that tell me oh just take it out! I explain and am sick of it even my husband doesnt get it. They have never had issues with food and I have and I believe we all still do even after we have surgery. But I just cant and dont trust myself without a band. I fear everyday I know I shouldnt but I do of being FAT again.

Sunlight 24/7...how do you ever sleep?
I can't even imagine what it would be like if I had to have my surgery reversed or it was only temporary!! I KNOW I couldn't control food amounts on my own. I'm so glad I never got into eating big meals and I still have a lot of restriction. I hope it lasts forever!
Rebecca I'd be in fear too! When will you know for sure what the insurance will pay for and what the DR. has in mind?

Roz,
Ya just get use to the 24/7 of daylight
Tri west will cover the surgery next Monday. They will cover one 1 three things that day, adjust band placement, replace band or band removal. From what Dr. S told me he things he will be able to just put the band back in place but he wont know until he is in there. Now god for bid the worst worry for me is it is really bad and he has to take it out and it is so bad he cant put a new one in right away. My insurance my not cover for me to go back. that is my worst worry. I have the fear of waking up from surgery and him telling me I'm sorry but it was bad enough that it was removed and he could not put one back on at this time. i know i am over thinking it but hard not to. If i weighted more i could get a revision to bypass, but even them i know that type is just not for me.
will keep ya posted what happens

how nice to have a local place to pick some up. Ordering is such a pain and you never know when it will actually come.
