Good Morning. What's on your mind?

Job hunting is so hard.  Yuck.  You know you should expect to spend 1 month for every $10K a year you make.  So if you make $60K, it should take upwards of 6 months to find a new job on average.  I know it seems like forever!  I only share this with you to help with expectations.

Patience is not one of my virtues, but I am a realist.  Good luck job hunting!  I wish I was nearby to help with the hunt or play.  I'm good for another couple of days, but I can feel the stir-crazies coming on.

Oh crap Kay, this is terrible news.  I'm going to be home for a long time as I had a fabulous job in a high paying field.

After dropping this bomb on me, I think it would be best if you'd hop on a plane and come play with me!  :)

Except I got a job in 6 months and I made more than 60K. I think it just depends on the field. And where you live.

lee, didn't you know the rule about time or money.  If you have money, you don't have the time to spend it.  If you have time, you don't have any money to do fun stuff.

You're so right Price!  After 18 years I had worked it out so that I had a month of vacation.  I used that time for lots of great travel with Zach.  I'm really grateful for all the travel I was able to do.  Now I get to look at the pictures and appreciate it all.

Hopefully I'll be a lucky one and find a job.  At least my Cobra isn't outrageous so I still have my Kaiser coverage.

I have an appointment for an EGD today.  Tomorrow I have an ultrasound of my liver.  I am too young to spend all this time at the doctors.

Thanks.  I am not so worried now that I know that is is most likely the Vitamin A that is causing my liver enzymes to be elevated.
The EGD went well and there was nothing found.  I was sure I had an ulcer.  I am guessing that the pain I have been experiencing is from the hernia instead.

I went to the dentist. I need a crown replaced! I deliberately didn't get COBRA for dental thinking it would be more expensive than paying for cleanings every 6 months and most likely I'd have a new job with benefits before anyone in the family needed anythign else.

Well I have a job but no benefits.

So it looks like I took a risk and I lost.
