I too, have a bad back but I have found when I do a fair amount of walking, my back and hip actually feel better, especially my hip. It's just hard to not give into excuses not to exercise. I just remeber the   saying "just do it!"

Yes, "Just do it!"  Love it!!  And I really do think the idea of water exercise would be a GREAT idea to pursue!

This last weekend I was surprised by my DH with a getaway weekend up in Monterey.  It was great!  We walked A LOT!  Course, I had to laugh that one of the first things I did was bend down to tie my shoe on the first day we were there and my back popped out.  I was on tylenol, ice and BenGay that first afternoon/evening. (and off and on throughout)  Felt oooo...sooo sexy!! HA  But, it helped and we continued our  getaway.  Did lots of walking and when we got back I was surprised pleasantly to find that my not giving up, staying on my plan and bearing through it resulted in a 2 lb weight loss from the week before!  Whoo hoo!!!!

Have really tried to keep at it and have invested in a bento box to have ready for wherever I go.  Drinking LOTS more water now.  Have an appt tomorrow with my nutritionist to see about how things are going and where I should be improving.  Feel more on track again.  Really appreciate everyone's input.  You all are SUCH a huge part of my life now!  Thank you EVERYONE!!

*Hugs*
