Happy Sunday WL Friends...

I made it to goal this month...and have been basically holding currently at 140 lbs...I may up a couple lbs and then quickly lose it too...but it seems I still stay around the 140lb range...I am 11 months out of my DS surgery...Does this mean I am done losing or does my body know its comfortable at this 140 lb weight or am I just in maintence mode?  I appreciate any info...

What's your BMI now? I got to 21.-something and I just stopped. I had been losing very very slowly for a few months up until that point.

I pretty much just stopped around 114. I have been in the 116-111 range since late Sept, 9-9-10 surgery. I go up and down a little but the seem to come back up or down with just eating what is now normal for me. At 114, my BMI is 23 and the chart on this site accually says that is my ideal weight.

I have been at 150 for about six months now. I still want to lose 10 pounds but I haven't been too serious about it lately and since I have no scale right now I just have to wait until I return home at the end of April.
I really hope when I can run again the extra 10 pounds will fly off. I am not in a safe enough neighbourhood to run, so it is really tough.
Don't be surprised if you stall for a while and then lose again after a bit. Increasing exercise, making sure your watching what and how you eat might make a difference. See what they say at your one year appointment.

Hi Nana Liz...

I could be in a stall then?  I was wondering about that...but figured I could be done losing...good luck to you ...it sure is frustrating at times...thanks for the info...

I hit 150, at about 12 months, then slowly down to 145 and that was it (bounceback notwithstanding). I didn't get my whole 18-24 month window.

140 sounds pretty good to me. You're getting there.

A few years ago, after I had regained weight with my first WLS, I decided to start eating better and taking the weight off.  I had gotten back up to about 185 lbs.  It took me over 6 months to lose 35 lbs and I couldn't drop another pound after that for anything.  I think I dipped under 150 for about an hour and then stayed at 150 for about 6 months, until my eating got out of control again.
I got to the point where I didn't worry about it.  I looked okay at 150 and I was happy eating the way I was.  I figured I could probably lose another 15 or 20 lbs if I dieted strictly but I knew I would be miserable and it would never stay off.  I was happy with what I was eating and the amount I was eating and felt perfectly fine at the weight I was at.
