ADD meds

Anyone take ADD meds? I was on them before surgery 5 years ago and stopped. What about the time release aspect of it? Which ones are you on?

I don't take ADD meds but I do take antidepressants and I was told that I can't take time release of anything anymore.

I take Nuvigil and my PCP and I thought I couldn't take it after surgery so she prescribed Adderall. I did not respond well to it, so we got more information and put me back on Nuvigil. Adderall is not timed released and I believe I read somewhere it is the drug of choice for RNY patients with ADD. I think Ritalin is not recommended. Sorry I can't remember where I read that to even double check myself.
