Quick update and a question
Once your stomach heals, you can have anything you want whenever you want it. We're adults and we get to make our own choices.
So the question isn't "when can I have wine?", it's "is wine a good choices for me right now?"
And that's a personal decision that ony you can make. You have to balance the risks -- it can derail weight loss for a number of reasons and there is a risk of transfer addictions if you are an emotional eater -- against the benefits -- red wine is healthy and it can be relaxing.

I am so sorry for all you are going through, I guess I havent been online for a bit and missed your past posts. I wish you the best.
I
I was told no alcohol for 1 year for several reasons. The first is that it is very hard on your liver which is already being taxed by your rapid weightloss. The second is that alcohol can cause ulcers which we are very susseptible to especially the first year. Then it isnt that is it is just 1 glass - 1 glass leads to I can have a second, it wont hurt. Then, wine was okay - how about a screwdriver or a bloody mary and then I have 2 of them when out to dinner. Then it becomes nightly. I am not saying you are going to do this but we are prone to what is called transfer addition and alcohol is a big one. All that alcohol is also alot of unnecessary calories that you dont need and can slow up your weight loss.
