Good Morning. Is it me or is this week dragging?

This has got to be the longest week--it should be Monday next week by now. Whew! Moderating these long online meetings seem to be making the week go by so slow. I can only imagine what teachers and professors go through standing up in front of classrooms all day, every day.

Just a reminder--today is Flag Day and Sunday is Father's Day. I would have totally forgotten if Jody hadn't said something last night about sending her dad a card. lol Y'all have a great Thursday and try not to watch the clock too much, you know what they say, "a watched pot never boils"...sort of like watching the scale too too much.

I've got 2 meetings this morning, then one this afternoon so the day will keep me occupied, no problem. Going to swim after the last meeting. Going to stop in at the Dillard Outlet on my way home from Asheville to see if I can find something for DH for Father's Day. No meetings tomorrow so I want to get my recertification application finished and both ponies worked. Nothing planned for the weekend so hurray.

Today is my "short Friday" - yea!!

I got my grocery shopping done, all packed, added stuff to the mortgage guy, house picked up (not cleaned but oh well) and pretty much ready to hit the road.

Getting some work done now.

We are heading out of here to visit my daddy on Sat...will be there until Monday so yes, this week has been super long!

Yeap, today is Flag Day and in 1964 on this day, I lost my grandfather...I remember the day so well because I turned 10 two days later. They had the funeral on my birthday.

We have had to schedule funerals on birthdays, and it is really tough.

When my eldest brother died in his twenties, the funeral was on my middle brother's B-day. This was really tough, because my parents never got over the death of their eldest child.

When my Mom died this winter, there was no other day to hold the funeral than on my youngest brother's B-day. The youngest brother said it brought a nice sense of closure for him, and he was onboard with the choice of the date.

I'm not looking for any more funerals, because I'm the only remaining child who hasn't had a funeral on their birthday.
