You could order some Proferrin ES online, it's about the same as eating liver, which I can not do but it won't constipate you. Much much easier on your system than regular iron supplements.

Thanks Gina...I will check that out!  There have been so many short dark hairs on the sink and tub lately that it scares me.

I take my Proferrin at bedtime. You snap them in half and send them down the hatch with water or whatever you're drinking. You don't have to keep it separate from everything like regular iron supplements.

Last year, some of my vitamin levels were high, so I was asked to decrease my multi-vit to once/day (my vitamin A was too high), decrease my folate (mine was too high), decrease my D3 (I did decrease it a bit, but not my much). It will be interesting to see what my values are for this year. I have a VSG, so I don't have the malabsorption issues that the DS and RNY folks have.

The bariatric internist said that, she usually has to have people increase their vitamins, but I needed to decrease some of mine.

I hope it was a good appt...

We are trying to get me moved to dh's nut...since we will be moving out of the area in a year, it may work. The nut at my surgeon's office is clueless and stuck on the party line.

Wish I COULD teach her but I've tried and gotten nowhere.

When I had to see her, I just nodded and said okay...while my eyes glazed over.
