Definition of lightweight
Welcome to the LW board. Do your research and ask lots of questions. I think this is one of the few boards where the folks will not tell you that their surgury is the only surgery. Do what is best for you. I was self pay and had RNY 4 years ago, but going back wish I would have listened to what my doc had to say about the sleeve and then made my decision. Whatever you decide...all the best to you.

Hi Angela,
I'm a newbie and a lightweight as well...I'm thinking 60-70 lbs but I haven't decided on a goal weight yet. You're right...self pay patients can get the surgery much quicker. Mine is scheded for Tuesday and I think my first call to the surgeon's office was 3 weeks ago! Partly because of an unexpected cancellation they had but I'm just thinking this was meant to happen. Keep us updated!!
