I have to have calcuim, PTH, D3 and thiamine done tomorrow.  Anyone know if they have to be fasting?

I've never had to fast for my nutritional labs only for cholesterol readings if done at the same time.  Off the top of my head I'm not sure what the PTH is?

You might have wanted to stop your supplements for 12 hours but food fasting for those isn't required.

Had a freak out moment when I saw my EOB come thru for annual labs $3002 total. My out of pocket was $110 for co-ins or something. The freak was when I thought what happens if we lose ins thru my DH employer ( the hospital I had surgery at )???? I have to do labs annually for life -- if we end up on a lesser paying ins would the cost be the same for cash/self-pay??? Anybody pay out of pocket for labs????

My labs have always been covered.  I had to change insurance in Jan because I ran out of Cobra and BCBS said I was uninsurable because of my knee replacement.  My new insurance isn't horribly expensive, around 450 a month but it has a 5000 deducatible which I met on 2/15 with my knee.  So everything at this point is paid at 100%.  It was an expensive first month and a half but now it's all over.  Except actually my WLS dr who is out of state.  They pay him but he can bill me also.  But i get my labs done here.
