Tonya, thank you for your help during that horrid time. I know everyone appreciated it whether we said it then or not.

Honestly, I was honored to do it.  My claim to fame was when a soldier asked if there was anyway he could get clean underwear, I marched up to the nearest reporter and told him/her we needed underwea, socks and raincoats for these soldiers and volunteers.  About 2 hours later a Gap truck, Target truck and a few others delivered literally hundreds of pairs of underwear, socks, raincoats, umbrellas, blankets etc.  I refused to be on TV or have my picture taken because I was there to serve and didn't want to seem like a glory hound.  I now wish I had just one small picture to remember it better.

Good for you for speaking up...and how great that the companies stepped forward so quickly.

You may not have a photo but you KNOW your mind took pictures and they are there, may fade as you age but are there.

How ironic that this was posted yesterday.

I bought my current truck a year and a half ago.  About a week after I bought it, I started having these thoughts of being in a car accident, which was very strange.  The following week, having owned my truck a whole 2 weeks, I was sitting at a stop sign and got rear-ended by a 20-yo kid, destroying my back bumper and its framework.  After that the car accident thoughts disappeared.

Fast forward to this past weekend, I started having those same thoughts of getting hit again and I remember thinking "oh no, not again".  Lo and behold my daughter and I were in my truck yesterday afternoon after getting my kids their dinner and getting ready to head up to Jersey (an hour + drive) for my monthly surgery group meeting on revision results, and we were sitting at a red light maybe 2 miles from our house, and yet again I got rear-ended.  This time by an 18-yo kid.  Fortunately, none of us were injured and there was no damage to the truck this time.

All in all, very strange, and I am soooooooooooooooooooo trading this truck in come May when my 2 years is up!!!!!  It's like I have a big ole bulls-eye on the back of it. . . .I mean for real, two accidents in 18 months with me sitting at a dead stop both times?  Really????

Thankfully, neither one of them resulted in injuries!!!!!!!

I've had "feelings" and sometimes they come true. But, if I'm being honest with myself, they don't come true as much as they do and often when I'm right it's because my feeling was intuition not something I couldn't have known at all. Like when I see two people at work talking and think "they are sleeping together" and months later I find out I was right.
