Good Morning. Please keep Vitalady close to your hearts

I had a voice mail from Michelle, Vitalady, this morning and she's not doing well. Maybe it's because yesterday was her birthday and she feels disconnected from us. She says she still wants to help people but folks will need to call her and be willing to play a little phone tag to get to her. Please keep her close to your hearts and in your prayers if you are so inclined. Thanks. (x-posting)

Michelle has had a rough year. She's been dealing with constant nausea from an inherited intestinal issue and bladder troubles as well. She recently had bladder surgery after being on TPN to get her weight up.

From www.vitalady.com

About Vitalady ~ Michelle Curran

Michelle was an early pioneer in the area of weight loss surgery. When she had her surgery i***** she became one of the few people to have this procedure. And because of that experience, she also became a pioneer in the field of nutritional supplementation for weight loss surgery patients.

She followed the recommendations of her surgeon, Dr. S. R. Fox, regarding recommended supplementation. Searching for the proper vitamins and minerals at a time when the internet was in its infancy was a challenge. As she found the appropriate source for supplements, others surgery patients asked her to order for them. She got the nickname of Vitalady, and thus the seeds of her new company were planted.

Michelle went far beyond merely following his advice, however. She began researching and studying. She has investigated all facets of nutrition after surgery. The range of her studies  included the function of the gastro-intestional system both before and after surgery, where various elements are absorbed, the deficiencies associated with inadequate supplementation, and which forms of vitamins and minerals are best absorbed by post op patients. As she learned new information, she adjusted her own vitamin regime, and that of her husband Don (Vitaguy) who had the surgery just one year after she did.

As more and more people had weight loss surgery and heard of the amazing Vitalady, Michelle and Don decided it was time to actually formalize their business. Her first venture into ecommerce was in 1998, when her first website was launched.

Michelle continues to research and refine her knowledge each day and is a wonderful resource to the weight loss surgery community. As the Vitalady and  Wellness consultant, she is dedicated to each patients’ good health by providing only supplements, products, and information that have met her high standards.

Thanks for the update.  I knew her husband was ill last year or the year before, but I guess I did not see posts regarding her health issues.  I will keep her in my prayers.  I'm so sorry to hear she has been having health issues.

AWE...I will definitely Pray for her.  She was such a big help to me early out and when I got on Maintance.  Sometimes I wish she was a regular poster but I know how busy she is.

This makes me glad I wished her Happy Birthday on FaceBook. I almost didn't because it's easy to think "oh, they are some famous person and barely know me and won't care."

So this goes to show... reach out to people you care about no matter what.

P.S. How is Don doing after his big fall last year?
