DH and I started the "Wheat BellY diet" from the book by the same name,Feb 2012. DH has done great, lost weight ,lost inches went from a size xl shirt to a medium aand size 40 pants to size 36,plus lowerewing his cholesterol values without the use of statins, which was the whole point of the diet.

Me,though,my cholesterol panels have all gone to normal, except one that is only 17 points away from normal, gained weight on the diet! Yeah, I know,go figure, right?

So,trying to make a long story short, there was a blog post from the book author,Dr. Davis, about those few people who don't lost on the diet and even gain. He said sometimes dairy products are to blame.

I cut out all dairy last weekend and as of today I have lost 6 pounds!!!!! Now,I have been doing EVERYTHING,as I posted on my "issues" post, and NOTHING was making a difference. Cut out all dairy and I am down 6# in less than a week aand it is fat!!!!! My ketone pee sticks are consistently coming up small to moderate!

I cannot even tell you how relieved and fabulous this makes me feel! I was getting ready to revise to a DS and now maybe I won't have to and can finally get to goal three years later! I don't even care how long it takes.  I never lost 6# in a week ,not even in the beginning when I was in the honeymoon phase. Wish I had known this then, but that is spilt milk,ha ha pun intended!

Thank you all for your support!

Not that I can tell yet but many people on the blog www.wheatbelly.com have reported complete relief from their reflux plus a whole host of other ailments.

Giving up cheese was harder than I thought it would be,but the scale going down is definitely a great trade off!
