Good Morning. Holiday Shopping Poll

I hate crowds. I dislike holiday shopping too. I think I'm turning into Scrooge.

Anyway, this year I'm going to bite the bullet and do my shopping online and not worry about going out into the wilds of the shopping malls. I may look for little local businesses that sell online to keep it real but I don't think I'm going out to shop. What about you? Is shopping just away for you to get into the holiday spirit or do you avoid it?

I avoid it like the plague.  DH does his own.  I make contibutions in folks names to places like Heifer.  Kids get real presents but we don't have many of those.  Close personal friends maybe but those are on line or homemade.

Right now I just want my protein coffee.  Nothing after midnight sucks.

Being temp broke HAS advantages! We did see some really cute mittens for the grandsons...but they were at a small store that is very regional. Ordering from them online is expensive. The store is Mast General Store. It will be nice to still have it handy when we get moved next fall.

But other than grandsons, no presents around here this year. The adults already know. And to be honest, the ONLY present my daddy wants is our time.

I shop online all the time, I hate the crowds and ignorant ppl. I just look for the sales where its free shipping. You will find a lot of that now, QVC does it on a lot of items I have found. Some places if you spend over a certain amount, they will give you free shipping, that way I feel like I didn't waste money.

I do some of both. . .not a big fan of crowds so I go in the "off" hours when there are less people.  I order several things online too.

I don't venture out very often. Don't like the crowds either. I never ever shop black Friday. I am so glad I don't live in a large city.

Can you imagine the lines in the cities? I am thinking about just giving the kids money.

Since all of my family are in Texas I do almost all of my shopping online! It saves time and the lines at the PO. Anymore it's just my sister and I that exchange gifts and then of course the great grandkids. Unless I find something really cool for my grown nieces and nephews- they will always be kids too....to me!

This year my DH wants to give me clothes. The only problem with that is I have no idea what size I am any more. Seems I have to try on everything. Of course that's not a bad problem to have and I'm not going to complain! I may wait until the after the holidays and hit the sales then.

I don't really do much holiday shopping since it's just my mom and I.  But I LOVE to shop!  I can happily spend hours in a store browsing and trying on clothes without even buying anything.  I pretty much go out at least one full day every weekend and shop.

DD#1 and I always do Black Friday.  She spent last night looking at the Black Friday ads online and making a plan.  We leave after Thanksgiving Dinner and don't come home until the next day. I usually don't buy much.  She will pick her DD out some things and I pay for them.

The rest of my shopping is mostly on line.  I love ordering from Amazon and Walmart.  Amazon is really good about returns (they even pay for it) but you have to watch buying from a Marketplace on their site. Their return policies might not be more than 30 days.

I've done most of my shopping online for years.  I love Ebay for a lot of things.  This year should be easy because last Summer when I was garage sale shopping I ran across a sale that was ending and they were giving everything away.  I think the lady was a hoarder because they had tables of new things for Christmas like the gifts they have at home parties.  I packed my car and now my little closet is stuffed with all kinds of Christmas gifts for the home so I have something for all my kids and friends.  I also got other new things that I was able to sell.  I hit the jackpot that day.  I was even able to donate several items for the silent auction at work.  I probably have Christmas gifts covered for the next few Christmas's.  Of course for the grandbabies I will buy toys or clothes.
