Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!

Our receptionist who was gong to be 81 next week passed away on Sunday.  Our office just got back from the funeral and  they ordered Chili dogs in her honor.  I ordered 2 with no bun but of course that would have been too easy.  I ate one with the bun and I'm going to wrap the other one up for tomorrow.

Hey Roz!  Sorry to hear about your Receptionist...

I've figured out I do much better with my eating when in MI - I tend to NOT snack hardly at all. Here in Va I seem to be munching all the time...   May be because I eat out a lot more here, whereas in MI I eat at my daughters' a lot and she cooks healthy stuff.  I do order protein when I go out, but still... I get bored very easily here whereas I'm really busy in MI and hardly even think about eating.

I also tend to drink more pop when in Va.  I have a very small fridge that I can hardly get anything into and will put ice in a cup and drink some pop - also at work.  At MI I have my juices, tea, etc.  I need to change things here. The scale had been moving downwards.. I need to keep it on that momentum.  Since Monday it has jumped 3 lbs - and I know its from a lot of sodium (pizza, sushi, etc)  I actually ate 3 pieces of pizza last night... shame on me!  I usually stop at 2.  Don't know if I've ever eaten 3 pieces in a sitting since surgery...  then I went back and took out the Wheat Thins,  night before was popcorn with added salt.. Need to stop that.  Think I've eaten as much food in the past 2-3 days than I did all last week. (Well, seems like it anyway!)

B - a garlic bagel with cream cheese and butter (that used up all my carbs and calories for a few days!)

L - chili

D - IDK.

Vits:  yes

Water:  not good

Thanks Jody...she was an amazing lady and such an inspiration at her age.   A little grumpy at 80 but she had such a wonderful heart. She would come in 2 hours early and leave right on the minute of when her time was up. We are really going to miss her.

The the only thing that scares me in your menu is the IDK. That's when I get in trouble.  It is just too easy for me to grab something quick when I don't give it enough thought or when I'm tired.

I started preparing and  freezing a lot more.  I bought freezer containers and bags so I have soups, flourless PB cookies, egg/sausage bites, pizza chips, salmon cakes,  etc. ready  so I can grab something when I'm hungry that won't blow the day and make the scales move up.

I've only had a few tiny sips of pop since surgery.  I loved the carbonation feel before surgery but it's uncomfortable now but I don't think it would be hard for me to get hooked again so I'm going to continue to avoid it.
